| An Immaculate late model Porsche 911 996 C4S Tiptronic S with just 50,000 miles, only 4 owners from new and a full service history. MOT till September 2021 (no advisories).
With a full service history from Porsche and leading Porsche specialists this well cared for example drives superbly. The most recent service was completed at 49,362 miles by Design 911 in September 2018.
We spent more than six months looking for this car and viewed 12 other cars before buying this one. It is a beautiful example and we will be sad to see it go. There is nothing to do to this car and it is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.
The 996 was the first truly modern 911 and saw the first all-new chassis platform since the original 911 and a new water-cooled engine with 4 valves per cylinder. It was more powerful, roomier and 45 per cent stiffer than the outgoing model, yet despite all of this the 996 was also 50kg lighter. So, it’s no surprise that the 996 went on to win all the major group tests in its era!
The 996 Carrera 4S is the most desirable of the everyday-usable 996’s, inheriting the revised front end, wide-body, larger 18” wheels, wider track, lowered stiffer suspension and more powerful brakes of the Turbo model. This 996 benefits from the larger 3.6 litre engine with Variocam Plus putting out 315 BHP and the revised headlights that featured from 2002 onwards.
With only 5% of the power going to the front wheels in normal driving (rising to 40% when needed) these cars retain the RWD feel of a normal Carrera. But the extra security at the limit that comes from 4WD and the Porsche Stability Management system make it a real back-road hero.
First registered in November 2003, this is a genuine, rare car with very low mileage and only 4 owners from new and is presented in very original condition. The most recent owner purchased the car in October 2017 and has covered just 1600 miles in 3 years of ownership.
