Well where to start, took this project on 2 years ago after the buying the bike off a family friend who had it stored for many years in his shed.
decided to do a full strip down but to keep the originality of the bike.
i have changed every component known to man, briefly - tyres x 2 michelin -new wheel bearings front & rear-new brake shoes front & rear, new chain & sprockets front & rear - choke cable -speedo cable -throttle cable - clutch cable - 2 x exhausts -new battery -seat professionally recovered- spark plugs & caps probably forgot something.
when i bought the bike it had another engine fitted that i hadnt heard running, still got the original one for spare parts by the way, after flushing the tank cleaning the carb finally got the old girl running and its smoking " right cylinder " could be something simple stem seals piston rings i dont know . but i have lost the use of my garage plus my arthritis is telling me enough is enough,
there are a few bits of pieces to do but i would say 90/95 % finished apart from the engine,
i am going to check the engine breathers and change the oil next week you never know.
i honestly dont know what its worth it owes me a fortune but its not about the money if someone can finish her and use her that would make me very happy.
