1968 Wolseley 6/110 MkII, Outstanding Restoration For Sale

This is without the doubt the most impressive Wolseley 6/ 110 MKII Saloon we have ever seen. Not only has it been subject of a staggering £45, 000 restoration, its unbelievably correct and comes with exceptional history. VML 541G was built for the RHD Home Market, completed on the 8th March 1968 and finished in Rose Taupe with Cordinal Red upholstery. The Wolseley was supplied new by Eustace Watkins Limited, London and was registered with its current Greater London registration mark VML 541G.
This very late production Wolseley 6/ 110 spent from 1968 to 2008 in Enfield and spent from 1981 and a total of 27 years within the same family. The car comes with MOT certificates dating to when the car was three years old and by 1981 when coming into the hands of its long-term owner, the Wolseley covered 44, 000 miles. By 2008 when the Wolseley was sold, it had covered 99567 miles and was now in the hands of the Nell Collection in Nottinghamshire.

From 2008 - 2018 the Wosleley was put through a rolling restoration that in total, cost £45, 000 and all receipts are with the comprehensive history file. The Wolseley was stripped down, the body restored as required and painted, chrome work was renewed, the interior fully re-trimmed, the woodwork re-veneered and many rubbers, clips and trims replaced. Mechanically the Wolseley was rebuilt with no expense spared. The engine was stripped down and fully rebuilt, the gearbox rebuilt and invoices for thousands of pounds worth of mechanical work are in the file.

Since completion, the Wosleley has covered around 3000 miles and really is exceptional. VML 541G is a true delight on the road, it handles superbly, its effortless to drive with lovely steering, sharp brakes and the rebuilt engine is first class, as is the manual gearbox. The interior is outstanding, unbelievable quality throughout with sumptuous leather, superb wool carpets, gorgeous woodwork and headlining. The engine bay has been superbly detailed to a very high standard, the body panels beautiful and straight and the paint finish gleams. There will not be a perfect Wolseley 6/ 110 in existence, but this one will certainly be one of the nicest you could find. With MOT's back to 1971, old V5's, maintenance invoices, the recent £45, 000 of invoices, original brochures and handbook this car really is something incredibly special.

It still draws plenty of positive attention/compliments. Runs ...
