1975 Mint matching numbers Bultaco trials For SaleThis bike was said to have been purchased new by a Spanish aristocrat, for gently patrolling his vineyard, it was gifted after just a few months to a Madrid based museum. To ensure the barely run-in Sherpa was 100% perfect he instructed that new mudguards, seat, and fuel tank be fitted. [NB the never replenished tank has an anti-ethynol coating.] There the Sherpa stayed for 40 years until 2016. I'm told that both Akront wheels were refurbished. It is fitted with a Spanish manufactured Michelin front tyre and Japanese Dunlop on the rear - both are good. The fibreglass tank points to it’s origins as a Spanish home market bike. All UK bikes had to have alloy tanks at the time. A fuel filter has been fitted as a precaution. New rear OZO shocks have been fitted. Otherwise the bike seems very original, still with a lighting kit, horn and brake light switch - all often removed and lost. It has been unused by me having been in my modest collection. An ideal twin shock machine or just to look at in your living room. The bike starts (eventually) and runs fine but I'd suggest the carb is cleaned. Located in Buckfastleigh Devon where viewing can be arranged. The bike is not road registered. A dating certificate can easily be obtained from InMotion which would allow registration if required. It will come with an original owners manual for a Bultaco 250 198 (slightly later 1977). This is a pretty much mint bike that looks lovely. Better than money in the bank. Part exchange or swap for a Honda TLR 250 cash either way. This advert has now been removed through sale or otherwise, please see the list below for similar live adverts |
