SAAB 900 TURBO 2 DOOR COUPE 8V 1986

This is a beautiful car with a great history. There aren't many left like this.

Unfortunately the paperwork has been lost but this is the story of the car as told by the previous owner:

It was the first ever car purchased from SAAB City which was the flagship London Saab dealer. The car remained in the same family through one change of ownership and was looked after by the Saab main dealer network. It was then dry stored for some years and recomissioned in 2018. Since then it has been maintained by a well known independent Saab specialist. MOT until July 2021.

The chassis, sills and bodywork reflect this history, it's all remarkably solid. The paintwork is original and mostly very good albeit with a couple of blemishes as you'd expect.

It drives absolutely beautifully and is very quick when the turbo kicks in - it's a lot of fun!

There are a couple of negatives (well it is 33 years old... )

The gearbox is good but the 5th gear guide is missing, meaning that 5th gear is more difficult to find than it should be. It's no big deal in reality; you soon get used to it. Would be a cheap and easy fix if you wanted it sorted.

The temperature gauge isn't working; it is the gauge that is the problem not the engine and we have documentation from Abbott Saab to prove this. Again easy enough to fix.

The headlining is missing. We have had a quote for £500 from an upholsterer to redo it and we will pass his number on to the buyer if required.

And that's about it.

It's a beautiful, low mileage, solid Saab Classic 900 turbo; there can't be many left in this condition, especially with the rare 2 door body.
