For sale is this iconic and now quite rare and very cool looking Beetle Back Standard Vanguard Ser 1a from 1952. Fitted with the 2088cc engine know well to the Triumph Roadster 2000 owners, but this car has the factory option electric overdrive fitted relaxing the engine considerably and given better mpg.

Purchased by a Lady in Southampton in 1960 from Alan Brown (Automobiles) Ltd off Surrey and it would appear from all the corespondents and paperwork that she has owned the car for most of its life. Clearly in the mid to late 90s the car was treated to a very
comprehensive overhaul of the coachwork, leather interior, all chrome re-plated, "and there is a lot of it" engine-rebuild with unleaded head, new wiring loom, stainless exhaust,. and all those other forgotten items that go to complete the final picture.

I think anyone taking the time to view this car would have to admit she really is a stunning example. You open the door and immediately that lovely smell of proper leather just hits the nostrils. The Art Deco dash with all the lovely white knobs and dials stares at you as you guide her effortlessly down the road, so its not to hard to see why anyone would fail to fall in love with owning this car just like the First Lady owner.
