| 1928 Standard Nine Falmouth, one of only four known to exist. Bought for restoration in 1999 from the Isle of Man. Two previous owners - one from 1928 to 1998. Well-known car to the Standard Motor Club. Restoration suspended a few years back due to other commitments and now I realise, that due to my age, I am not going to complete the re-assembly, and I feel someone younger could easily finish the job and get pleasure out of using it. Details of work already done:- All fabric applied to the body, in maroon and black, whole car stripped to the last nut and bolt, ash frame professionally repaired where necessary, new brake linings and cables, new suspension bushes front and rear, new radiator core, all bright parts re-nickelled, new front wings and bonnet made and sprayed black 2-pack, five road wheels blasted and powder-coated black, original rear wings blasted and sprayed black 2-pack, steering wheel re-coated in original material, engine stripped, newly white-metalled, ready for re-assembly. work needing to be done:- three new tyres wanted, two brand new tyres with the car, three doors re-hung, nsf yet to be done, new maroon carpet provided, new laminated windscreen to be fitted, an exhaust needs to be made, folding sunroof needs to be made from the original pattern provided, wiring loom needs to be constructed, interior seats should still be serviceable and need installation. Much literature is with the car and photos and written details of its dismantling are included, is sitting on four slave wheels at present with no tyres thereon. Obviously will want trailering away but would probably need another vehicle in which to carry the component parts. The car was totally complete and original when I purchased it. We are within postcode TR4 and at present in
Tier 2 but that can be subject to change of course. . £10000 and no offers bearing in mind that parts bought and work done so far, is close to that figure.
