Very good running original bike that would make a great base for full restoration or if you like your old bikes looking their age it just needs a light overhaul to get it back on the road.
Fully Registered with DVLA. Age related plate issued, Tax and Mot exempt as its an Historic Vehicle.
So a little history about the bike, it was a USA registered bike from the state of Missouri . last Missouri safety inspection was back in 1987. In 2010 it was imported into the UK by DK motorcycles, it then went into storage for another 10 years until being registered with the DVLA in July 2020. At the same time the engine and carbs where serviced and it now fires up and the engine runs very well. All electrics working, UK head light fitted.
Mileage – showing 1168 miles on the receipt from DK motorcycles and still showing 1168 miles on the clock. You can tell from its overall condition it’s a low mileage bike, when the rocker covers where removed for the service it looked like new inside. Unfortunately cannot verify if the mileage is correct.
It does need some work, for example the front brake sticks and a pair of fork seals. I would recommend you give the whole bike a once over as it seems to have spent most of its 42 years in storage. There are signs of age, petrol tank paint has damage to paint work, most of the chrome work is pitted and seat cover has a small split at the rear.
