Hello and welcome to the sale of this gorgeous 1959 Standard 10. The standard 10 is a brilliant starter classic for those wanting something a little bit different, this little car is actually a show winner in the standard 10 class of the 2019 standard rally! The car is presented exquisitely with the green and white paint and the cream interior plus some little touches to make this car stand out such as the chrome sun visor and the quirky little chrome aircraft on the bonnet.

The car runs and drives great with everything working as it should, underside is very good indeed and I have no doubts that this little car should pass a mot even tho it is exempt (can get a mot if requested).

Inside you will find a rather basic interior full of charm, the seats are all very good, headliner is very good, carpets are good and all the dash and switches are good.. Honestly I would describe the interior as good but not perfect. You will also find a little temperature gauge all wired up on the dash for peace of mind.

The engine is very smooth and sounds brilliant through the stainless Steel exhaust system, gearbox is very quiet for one of these and changes gear with ease, clutch feels nice and the brakes are stopping the car well. It does make the ideal car to trundle along in, the previous owner proved this by driving it from the south coast all the way to Yorkshire!

The bodywork is good with a beautiful shine to the paint work all over and it all looks very straight with good gaps (for a classic) across the panels. The chrome is all fairly good and comes with a few spare bits such as bumpers and wheel covers. The sun visor is a little bit pitted but if I was keeping it I would have painted it white. Overall the bodywork is good but it's definitely not perfect, it has a few age related bits as expected and can be seen in the pictures but honestly I'd say it's a good 7/8 out of 10.

Due to the recent troubles that have befallen the globe I have a very very large photo album of every detail of the car that I will happily send across on WhatsApp or messenger. I am also offering discounted contact free delivery for the car, I'm based in worthing West Sussex.
feel free to call or WhatsApp me as its far easier to communicate that way.
