With a heavy heart I’m listing my awesome 71 Galaxie 500. It has the small block 351W v8 and has 36,000 genuine miles. It was imported early 2020 and has been registered in my name and I have the V5 and all the paperwork present. I’ve drove this car on a daily basis for just over 6 months covering just under 3000 miles without a hitch. The car starts first turn of the key and drives absolutely faultless. It’s a real pleasure to drive and is as original as it gets with the exception of the centreline wheels and tyres with were replaced last year. I have the original wheels with winter tyres that have plenty of tread and chrome hubcaps that will go with the car. The bodywork although not perfect is very good for being a 50 year old classic. It’s solid all round but does have spots of very minor surface rust and a few blemishes/patina here and there as expected with age. The cills, arches boot floor and underside are rock solid and have been protected over the years. The bright work is all good and shiny other than the corner of the rear bumper. The interior is virtually like new with no wear at all on the seats. Door card and dash very good and the headlining is perfect. All lights and electrics work as they should other than the interior light which hasn’t bothered me and the petrol gauge doesn’t work. Again never bothered me as I fill it up every week. The engine pulls strong with no smoke and doesn’t leak any fluids. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive anywhere in this car. All in all a very nice tax and Mot exempt car that can be used as is or re sprayed to make perfect. sounds great and turns heads wherever it goes. Reluctant sale
