| | | BMW E36 323i (2494cc) convertible with manual gearbox, registered 21/03/1997 with 3 previous owners. Genuine low mileage of 57452 with service history. Was supplied new by BMW main dealer Derek Woodman in Blackpool and has stayed local all its life.
3 service stamps from Williams BMW Manchester and 1 from Bowker BMW Blackburn, the BMW has just had a service including spark plugs, air and oil filter by myself. There is a valid MOT until 05/10/2021. I have all the handbooks and even the leather sample when ordering the car new. 2 keys are present.
The BMW has a fantastic specification when ordered new which over and above the standard spec includes, Arctic silver, grey montana leather, armrest front, sports seats, heated seats, heated door mirrors, softtop black, on-board computer, electric folding roof. It also has the very rare BBS/BMW split rim alloys wheels 17” which on their own are worth a small fortune (the BMW part number is present).
The BMW drives great with the engine smooth and quiet, it also pulls very strong and revs sweetly. The gearbox is a treat and the car handles well. This 323 is HPI clear. All the electrics work on this car including the roof.
Bad points are the bodywork and wheels, both need attention as rust is apparent on all wheel arches and between the rear lights and minor spots here and there. The wheels would require refurbishment to bring them back to their best. Other points are the ABS/low pad warning light comes on and off when it wants, suspect faulty wire on the front n/s.
Overall these cars are getting rare especially with such good mileage and low owners, it would make a sound investment as they are only going one way in price. I have more pictures available on request. I have decided to move this BMW on as realization that I am never going to get round to finishing the car which would be a shame.
