This is the last classic car in my personal private collection to be sold off with a very heavy heart due to long term ill health reasons ONLY. The rest have already sold very quickly due to their condition and patina's and all the extra's included with the cars and have all found new loving enthusiast owners which softens the blow to me knowing they will still be loved and pampered as i have done to them all during my ownership period.

Here we have a 1978 beautiful and loved Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 2 in sought after colour Carribean blue with dark blue interior, lovely burr walnut wood trim and a matching steering wheel with a beautiful patina. I still have the original steering wheel for the car which is included.

This car has a genuine history and ultra low miles on the clock from new of a shade just over 46400 miles. I have cherished this car since owning it and have spent in the last year alone around £10000 on her taking her to A1+ condition with all invoices and she now wants for NOTHING doing currently and i would confidently drive her ANYWHERE. Having owned a beautiful Bentley RT Mulliner in the past it was time to own a Rolls-Royce to say i have owned both and i am glad i did before my health got worse.

She has in fact had in total during the last 4 years approximately £27000 spent on her by the previous now sadly deceased owner and myself which included a full respray in 2019 making her 100% mechanically and in her condition. There has been NO EXPENSE spared. I also even had the twin fine hand painted coach lines re-applied to the car last year by the very same now retired Rolls-Royce factory coach line painter including all 5 wheel trim beauty rings. It was a joy to watch him apply them by hand and they really do make the car. Simply wonderful.

I have the complete factory build history file showing all options requested from initial order in 1977 to delivery in 1978 including a copy of the original bill of sale, fully stamped original service booklet and all the cars other handbooks as well as spare keys, factory information tags and every M.O.T certificate from her first in 1981 to her present supporting the ultra low miles on the clock plus some old tax discs from years passed. She wears her supplying main dealer rear window sticker and number plates with the dealership name in them. LEX MEAD ROLLS-ROYCE MANCHESTER who are now long gone. All the options requested are also still fitted on the car and working. The original fire extinguisher under the drivers seat which i doubt after 40 plus years has now lost its gas but it is still there in its place. I have fitted a brand new extinguisher in the boot as i do with all my cars as part of the driver touring/safety pack. She even has the Fiam'e twin air horns option in addition to the steering wheel horn push which are operated by the floor foot button and these sound awesome and can be quite addictive to sound them as you waft along. LOL.

This car is TAX & M.O.T exempt and it states this on the V5c logbook which i had changed by the DVLA shortly after taking delivery of her to HISTORIC CLASS now saving a good few hundred pounds a year on running costs. Her registration number is a unique and rare 5 digit number too. She really has had a cossetted and loved life by all her owners by the looks of things and this has been taken to another level during my ownership tenure. All of my cars are my own personal " big boys toys " and all i do is love and pamper them and take them to classic car shows/meetings and the odd dry sunny day drive. Never abused or allowed to get dirty either. IT'S A ROLLS ROYCE AFTER ALL. She is not a concour's car but she is A1+ standard for a 43 year old girl.

She is ready to go 100% and comes with many extra's included in the sale at full asking price of which NONE of these you will ever get off a dealer. She is a beautiful looking example and has nearly a full tank of fuel in her and was freshly M.O.T tested just 3 weeks ago ( 1 MONTH EARLY ) of which the new test came in to force on the 10th of February 2021 with not a single advisory. The tester chap said it was the best example he had seen and tested in a long time and could not find a single fault or advisory on her so i took him for a short drive which he loved bless him.

In mid/late 2020 she was treated to some works/servicing at well known and respected Rolls Royce/ Bentley specialists Stewart Walker in Newbury Berkshire who said it was an absolute pleasure to have such a beautiful low miles example in his workshop. Stewart has over 50 years Rolls Royce factory experience and he is an absolute expert on the Shadow 1 & 2 models. ( detailed invoice on file ). I then took the car on a lovely 3 day tour visiting family and friends which totalled 450 trouble free miles and was an absolute joy and she had many admiring looks and thumbs up from other motorists on the journey which was great to receive and lovely kind comments at the petrol pumps from other drivers too whilst filling up.

This is a very sensitive sale and my beautiful Rolls Royce has had a lot of interest so far so please no times wasters or dreamers/scammers as this has been a terrible year for me health wise and also with having to sell off all the rest of my private collection too so ONLY GENUINE buyers only please. You wont find another like mine at this price too which has had a lot done to her VERY recently with invoices to back it all up making her a spot on " Turn Key & Drive " example which you could immediately take on a long trip with no worries at all. She is that good. PLEASE GO LOOK AT ALL THE DEALER EXAMPLES FIRST and THEN COME SEE MINE. My car is priced very fairly for the current market albeit not being a greedy man i am open to a sensible offer close to the asking price. Its not about the money for me, its about who i sell the car to and knowing that she will be loved and cared for which she fully deserves.
