1970 Triumph vitesse mk2 convertible with overdrive For Sale

Triumph vitesse convertible mk2 with overdrive , this car was purchased by the last owner in 1993 and over the next 3 years subjected to a remarkably comprehensive full nut and bolt rebuild .such was the dedication that genuine new old stock body panels were collected and used and every other areas gone through with the same ethos . the original engine was rebuilt so matching number and the car has been used for just over 10,000 miles since all on dry days between the summer months and garaged over the winters . with just a few small expected user marks and imperfections accrued over 24 years the car still looks as good as the day it was completed a testament to the restoration efforts . if you seek a great vitesse you need to contact us ( phone between 9am and 9pm please ).
bodywork:: is fantastic , thanks to all new old stock panels being methodically sourced in the restoration works (no pattern panels), with the exception of a couple of imperfections and minor touch ins /marks over the years the body looks as good as the day it was done . the doors open /shut with ease . during the restoration the owner decided to paint the car in brg which whilst not factory correct (white ) sets the car off perfectly.all body works professionally undertaken by specialists
interior :: the interior was all restored at the time and still stands beautifully today . the drivers seat has a small nick in the rear support section but all other seats perfect ,has lap belts fitted in the rear . dash is lovely and has had additional instrumentation tastefully added , carpets are excellent and if lifted expose the perfectly painted floors .really nice period les leston wood rim wheel fitted but we have the original wheel too .
engine bay ::the engine bay is super tidy , sporting spin on oil filter conversion , k and n filters , and a expensive aftermarket aluminium radiator with kenlowe electric fan . the original motor was professionally rebuilt including all ancillaries carbs etc , even a brand new crankshaft secured to ensure the best build , its a really beautiful smooth quiet engine . gearbox and overdrive were totally rebuilt .
hood /weather gear :: the car has a bespoke purpose made mohair hood with the addition of a zip out rear window requested by the owner all in perfect condition .
underside /chassis :: having been stripped back to the bones the chassis was rebuilt using thicker gauge outriggers (all changes including under the boot floor and side rails ) the chassis then painted and reassembled with new suspension parts , full stainless exhaust , diff rebuilt and ratio changed to improve open road cruising .
wheels /tyres :: car sits on perfect original wheels with standard rostyle trims and great tyres all round
summary :: hopefully youll be getting the theme that everything on the car was done over the restoration period with little regard for budget and with the intention to produce the best example possible , it would be near impossible to reproduce this today with the amount of nos panels and items that went into the rebuild and as such offers a unique opportunity to acquire such a car . having been painted over 24 years ago it hides nothing . i could write so much more but will wait for serious buyers to contact me to give the full story and detail , dont miss it, contact us to discuss further .
we can assist with trailered delivery at additional cost and can supply walk around video for serious parties .the mk2 vitesse really is the one to have and prices are going one way . overseas buyers welcome as always and we will assist where possible
hcc ..."selling cars we would be happy to own "
