PRIVATE SALE FROM COLLECTOR.
Near perfect condition collector’s car. Three former owners. Black with rare dark tan leather. Factory auto lift rear spoiler. Six speed manual gearbox. Factory hard top. Original electric hood. Low mileage. Only 9 cabriolet 996 Turbo S in the UK.
Guaranteed 38,473 miles from new, 70% less than 2005 cars. Never damaged. Original paint. Always garaged. Full service OPC and Porsche specialist history. Porsche certificate of authenticity. Passed and cleared Porsche 111 point check 950 miles ago.
Fully stamped service book. Two sets of keys.
Four wheel drive. Ceramic brakes. Rare manual gearbox. Satnav. Bose sound. Electric seats. Aircon cum climate. Cruise control. Xenon lights. Tracker alarm. Electric hood. Everything standard factory fit.
3.6-litre twin turbo, double overhead VarioCam Plus camshafts, four valves per cylinder. Dry sump lubrication. 450bhp, 0-60 in 4.0 seconds top speed of just under 200mph.
The 2005 test reports describe the Turbo S is a daily cruising car but with on demand outrageous torque and acceleration. This was the first one-cap-fits-all 911, also a sunny day cabriolet.
The 996 Turbo S engine is an evolution of the indestructible Mezger air cooled 993, but water cooled and not to be confused with the unloved regular 996 engine which was a different design, some with mechanical issues.
2005 was the only production year of the Turbo S. Worldwide 1,560 coupes and cabriolets with manuals or the less collectible paddle shift cars. Beware, there are many 996 Turbos advertised and dressed and badged as an S, but not original.
With sadness do I sell this fabulous and unique 996 Turbo S, along with my four other 911s that must find caring loving new homes.
