| | | Selling on behalf of a customer Ford Escort Mk1 1300. RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. This car was built in 1969 and is an early type strengthened shell similar to a twin cam. The car is very solid and is all underbody colour underneath. It starts runs and drives but need a few little finishing jobs. Mexico side stripes. Might not be eveybodies taste but easily removed as only recently fitted by the owner.
Body - Early Mk1 shell with locks in the door handles, external bonnet release, strut top plates, chassis skids etc. Very similar to an early twin cam shell but doesnt have the studs through the boot floor. Underneath is solid and is painted body colour. Has had repairs on front floors in past. Boot wells look original. Chassis rails have a few dents from jacking up but again solid. Paintwork is nice and tidy. Couple of minor chips but overall very presentable. Evidence of a bit filler in lower quarters and lower back panel. Good looking solid early shell. Front quarter bumpers. New front and rear screen rubbers.
Mechanics - 1300 GT engine which was recently fitted over here. Twin choke carb, 4 speed box. Uprated front struts, larger front calipers, new uprated rear shocks, lowering blocks, polybushed, mph dash fitted, Brakes are a bit spongy and might need a look at. Cant be anything serious as everything is new..
Interior - GT seats in good order and look original rather than a retrim, good dash top, doorcards ,headlining and carpets.
Wheels - JBW new 7 x13s with new 185/60/13 tyres.
