After our personal red Mustang sold in record time, it’s with great pleasure that we offer for sale this absolute mac daddy Mustang for sale from our West London showroom.
This Fastback has been bare metal restored to a very high standard, finished in gorgeous red over black with deep glossy paint and tight panel gaps. This is a proper job, and we’d encourage any interested parties to come and take a look or ask for a walkaround video.
The car was bought new in Florida but later resided in Michigan, where it was purchased from the original owner in 2017 having covered just 54,000 miles from new. The car had been garage stored since 1978 and is a fully original matching numbers example.
The car was then completely stripped, media blasted and epoxy primed. Metalwork replacement was kept only to strictly necessary areas and to factory standard.
The 289 V8 was fitted with Edelbrock aluminium heads and intake alongside high performance exhaust manifolds, while the C4 automatic gearbox and eight inch rear end were fully rebuilt, with disc brakes fitted all round.
Of course the wiring was replaced professionally and the interior was completely replaced. The car was then painted in a Ferrari red, and finished with must-have American Racing 15-inch Torque Thrust wheels.
The car was also subject of £2,000 worth of work in August 2019, covering paintwork, steering box conversion, upgraded rear brake shoes, new brake master cylinder and oil/filter change.
We could spend much more time waffling on, but quite simply this a properly restored ’68 Fastback in on-the-button superb condition - nothing more need be said.
