Supplied in Touring trim it is a rare model in the Goldstar Range & retains all of its factory numbers i. e Engine, Frame & DVLA Registration.
Touring Goldie’s were equipped with STD T Gearbox, TT Carb, Std Handlebars, the 8” front brake, Alfin rear sprocket & parallel silencer are all correct for 1955.
It also has a full set of early Craven touring equipment.
The Headlamp glass was upgraded to a Cibie unit & the Instruments were serviced in the 1980’s. (Documented)
The bike has been maintained but never restored so has that well earned ‘Patina’.
I have never seen another matching numbers, Goldstar with factory paint with such a large amount of original documentation (Not Copies) including but not limited to:
• Letters dated from 1955 from BSA relating to the original order
• Supplying Dealer Sales Receipt
• BSA Guarantee Card (Showing Engine & Frame numbers)
• BSA Running In Card
• Engine Performance Certificate
• Brown & Green Log Books & current V5C
• Old MOTs & Tax Discs
• Black & White Photos from 1950’s/ 60’s
I feel the time is right for someone else to enjoy but hopefully not restore this wonderful time warp machine. It is an easy starter & well behaved in traffic.
