1934 Austin Seven Tourer Cream with black interior and black SOLD

1934 Austin Seven Tourer Cream with black interior and black hood and side screens. The Austin Seven was produced from 1922 to 1939 and proved to be one of the most popular cars built in Britain during the 1920's. Two thousand cars were made in the first year of production and within a few years the "big car in miniature" had wiped out the cycle car industry and transformed the fortunes of Austin. By 1939 when production finally ended, 290, 000 cars and vans had been made.
The previous owner had this Tourer for forty-two years, over that time he has acquired other Austins and this car has seen very little use in the last two to three years. During the 1980's the car was completely restored when its colour was changed from green and black to its current scheme of cream and black. It has been subject to some works in recent years including new valves, guides, springs, a new clutch, re-conditioned dynamo and distributor. The gearbox has been rebuilt and the car has covered around 50 miles since. The hood and side screens are all in good condition for driving in inclement weather although to best enjoy this car it best suits sunny days with the roof down. It comes complete with current V5, all MOTs dating from 1985 to the 2013, buff and green logbooks dating back to 1950, gearbox receipt dated 2016 and spare keys. Upon test drive this charming Austin drove just as she should with waves from people out on their daily walks and one person pulling up at the traffic lights to admire her. Her engine is spritely with a smooth gearbox she brakes and handles well especially as she’s nearly 90 years old, great fun for the coming summer months with hopefully some car shows to visit. Absolutely any inspection is welcome. Viewing is highly recommended, and we know you won't be disappointed. All major debit cards accepted. Please contact us for any further information.
