Produced between 1971 and 1985, the Series III is an iconic Land Rover that helped pull the company through a turbulent period in UK economic history. Essentially a facelift of the popular Series II, the Series III offered improvements over its predecessor such as a modernised interior and a synchromesh gearbox. Series Land Rovers have also been popular vehicles with the British Military, and the Series III is no exception to this serving from the 1970s right through to the 1990s. Overall, the interior is aged and tatty and could require further attention. The 2286cc diesel engine starts and runs very well. Overall the car presents well and mechanically has been restored, but still offers scope for improvement.
