For sale through AB 4x4s Cleveland LTD is a one off and quite remarkable 7 seater Land Rover Series 2a (1962). Soft top with the benefit of a galvanised chassis and a roaring 3.9 V8 engine and 5 speed box. We sold this last year over lockdown when we did a full body restoration for our customer.

This included re-galvanising all cappings and the use of stainless steel bolts wherever possible.

This is MOT exempt but we still put one on for our previous customer and valid until July 2021. Only one advisory was slight play in steering box.

Listed below is its awesome spec...

ENGINE- This is a super fit 3.9 Rover v8 that starts on first press of the button. I have never heard one with such a nice tone.

GEARBOX- A 5 speed box which changes really smoothly and helps cruising at respectable speeds maintaining better MPG’s.

CHASSIS- This is a galvanised chassis, not a new one but should prevent future maintenance. We did waxoil it for the previous customer.

RUNNING GEAR- So we added brand new brake discs and pads all round plus 2 new callipers resulting in better stopping. We added new shocks all round so handling is so much better with the parabolic springs.

BODYWORK- We did a full body restoration around 8 months ago and been kept in the garage, only covering 41 miles in his ownership. We added brand new doors all round with the rear half door being galvanised. It was finished in Beluga black which looks superb next to the galvanised cappings. In short it is one of the straightest Series 2’s you will ever see. Nice to see the spot welds present on the tub sides which is a sign of NO filler. The hood is brand new from Exmoor trim and sand in colour. To the rear is a galvanised adjustable tow hitch.

INSIDE- To the rear are 2 brand new bench seat with 4 seatbelts. Ribbed mat to keep the newly painted floor nice. There are 3 defender style seats to the front with new seat covers.

Below is a list of some of the new parts-

*Age related number plates

*Galvanised bumper with stainless fixings

*Seat covers

*2 rear bench seats

*Rear view mirror

*2 x wing mirrors

*Lights all round including headlights

*Fuel tank

*4 x disc brakes

*2 x callipers

*2 x glazed door tops

*2 x door bottoms

*Door furniture all round

*Seals all round

*Door hinges

*Sony stereo

*Galvanised rear half door

*Exmoor trim hood

So, in conclusion, this tax and mot galvanised chassis beast will turn heads wherever you go whilst costing the new owner very little to keep on your drive. It is super all year round in the snow or sun and capable of carrying up to 7 people.

We have priced this very reasonably at £17995. We do take PX and can deliver worldwide at £1.10 a mile one way. Call Anthony for any further information.
