Der Jaguar XK 140 ist ein leistungsstarker zweisitziger Sportwagen, von dem zwischen 1954 und 1957 insgesamt 3. 350 Exemplare produziert wurden. Er ist der Nachfolger des 1948 vorgestellten Jaguar XK 120.
Der hier vorgestellte Jaguar XK 140 wurde am 14. Dezember 1956 an seinen ersten Besitzer Gordon E. Nichols in New York ausgeliefert. Später gelangte der Wagen nach Deutschland und wurde von einem Markenspezialisten aufwändig „frame-off“ restauriert. Zahlreiche Fotos dokumentieren die aufwändigen Arbeiten an diesem schönen „Drophead Coupé“. Der Wagen ist „Matching-Numbers!“ und befindet sich seit der Restaurierung in einer Hand. Der Jaguar-Spezialist Michael Groß hat vor kurzem ein 4-Gang-Automatikgetriebe von ZF nachgerüstet. Ein Jaguar Heritage-Zertifikat liegt vor.
Das Fahrzeug überzeugt durch seine wunderschöne Farbkombination, seinen herausragenden Zustand und fantastische Fahreigenschaften. Ein idealer und zuverlässiger Klassiker für historische Rallyeveranstaltungen!

Description:
The Jaguar XK 140 is a high-performance two-seater sports car and the successor of the XK 120. The production started in 1954 and until 1957 a total of 3, 350 examples were produced.
The Jaguar XK 140 presented here was delivered to its first owner Gordon E. Nichols in New York on 14 December 1956. Later it came to Germany and was fully “frame-off” restored by a marque specialist. Numerous photos are available, documenting the extensive work done to this beautiful “Drophead Coupe”. Since the restoration the car has been in one hand. A few years ago, Jaguar specialist Michael Groß retrofitted a 4-speed automatic transmission by ZF. The car is “Matching-numbers!” A Jaguar Heritage Certificate comes with the XK. The XK impresses with its wonderful colour combination, the outstanding condition and the fantastic driving characteristics! An ideal and reliable classic car for historic rallye events!
