This a beautiful original car that is offered for sale in probably the best colour combination and was the subject to an earlier mechanical restoration in the early 2000's and full Internal refurbishment in 2015. This particular example has the Overdrive unit on 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears and also has the optional Wire Wheels and a Kenlowe fan fitted.
There is a very substantial history file for the car which includes previous invoices and MOT's supporting work done to the car. The condition is excellent and although it isn't a concourse example, as the photos show, it is a superb example of this true British classic. There are a few blemishes and very minor trim issues as to be expected on a car that is now 54 years old. Recent work includes a new clutch master and slave cylinder and aluminium radiator.
Note that the car has had the rear wings replaced with fiberglass panels due to the inherent rusting issues. Not only does this provide long life maintenance free body work, but also reduces the weight of the car considerably, giving better performance and fuel efficiency. The car has been stored throughout the winter and has only ever been driven in the dry in my 8 years of ownership. The car has also been wax oiled previously to provide better protection....
There are one or two minor repairs required to the trim, namely replace drivers side window winder handle (knob missing) and the radio requires the replacement aerial to be connected (simply do not have the time!!). Although, the radio is new and has been sourced to look identical to the original, but has the benefit of supporting mobile phone connection if required.
This is a fine example of a rapidly appreciating, but highly useable classic, which has made many memorable motoring trips across Europe, including the Le Mans 24 Classic event twice. Due to its age, this car it is exempt from needing an MOT test and road tax.
