Comes with British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate showing its original and that is has had a genuine BMC Gold Seal replacement engine during its time.
The Phase 2 of the Mark III gained a more powerful six cylinder 2912cc engine producing 148bhp and came with twin SU HD8 carburettors and a 3 speed drive gearbox with overdrive. The engine produces enough power to push the car to 122mph, reaching 60mpg in 9. 8 seconds.
To aid handling the Mark III came with front disc brakes and a brake servo. A dropped rear-frame ensured that there was a full inch more ground clearance. Aesthetically push button handles with external locks replaced the existing pull handles,
We believe the mileage to be correct going by almost 40 years of MOT certificates in the file and the previous owner only did 2000 miles in the last 7 years.
The car has undergone a complete restoration over the last two to three years with no expense spared and is now painted in a stunning two tone Colorado Red/ Ivory White.
