Motodrome offer for sale this 1979 example of the ever-popular Land Rover Series III Lightweight (Air Portable), finished externally in Desert Sand

Military-spec wise retains it’s correct front bumper, wheelarch toolbox, rear bumperettes, and correct split tailgate
Also fitted with a matching set of 4 750x16 tyres

Further fitted with freewheel front hubs, PVC hood with side windows, and civilian spec towpack

Inside, it has 3 military spec seats in the front

At some point since being cast from the MOD in 1992, the original 2. 25 petrol engine was removed and replaced with a 2. 5D normally-aspirated diesel engine (same type as 1985 onwards 90/ 110 models) –it seems to have been diesel since 1996 according to old MOT’s

Odometer reading 300 miles – it’s recently gone over the 100K mark according to the history, and it’s only had 3 previous owners since coming into civilian ownership. Comes with some history including some military history (was registered as 22 HF 75 and seems to have spent time with the RAF at Coningsby) and old MOT’s back to 1994

Although due to it’s age it now qualifies for MOT and road tax exemption, I’m pleased to report it’s MOT’d to mid-Jan 2022. It will also come with 6 months warranty on sale. .
