An interesting history, one of only around 170 998 Matrix motorcycles manufactured this bike was sold new to a Mr. Reid in Windam Maine USA. The base price was $15985 with accessories totaling an impressive $3069, after sales tax this was in 2004 a $20k motorcycle.
The accessories include a full race exhaust system and some rather swish gold levers and a rather confusing silver windscreen, there may be other accessories that are nonstandard but I’m not that familiar with a standard 998 to know exactly what’s what. What I do know is that this bike is immaculate. . It’s a true race bike with over 120 BHP, its capable of speeds in excess of double the speed limit and is of course very very cool. The colour is very special in fact I believe it’s the only green motorcycle Ducati have ever produced (a few Green Frames excepted) and matched with some very cool grey wheels it’s actually by Ducati standards quite reserved in appearance. The lines are directly descended from the 916 which was a quantum leap in bike design when it appeared in 1994. The motorcycle was fully serviced in late May 2021 and will be supplied with a fresh MOT. We have applied to the DVLA for UK registration, which we expect to be sorted before the next millennium ... Bike comes complete with movie standee to really irritate your other half.
The 900 S2 was introduced in 1983 to replace the 900SS. Buyers of the first model were offered a choice of electric or kick start, but not both, but most of those found surviving today sport the electric leg. The 84 S2 and MHR Mk4 were virtually identical in frame and engine, and both received the much needed upgraded ...

In the world of collectible motorcycles, no manufacturer can equal the broad-based desire of Ducati. If a list was compiled of every bike in every collection around the globe, it would come as no surprise to see Ducati as the most dominate marque, and there is no model more sought-after than the 1974 750 Supersport, better ...

Ducati celebrated Mike Hailwood's 1978 TT win by producing the MHR from 1979 to 1986 Essentially a standard 80hp square case 900SS with NCR-replica 4 gallon tank, seat and full fairing in Sports Motorcycles' tricolore livery, the MHR was good for 137mph With relatively minor updates over the years, around 7,000 MHRs were ...

In 1968 Ducati introduced what is now referred to as the ‘wide case’ 250 and 350 Mk 3 Desmo’s. Whilst the engine specification was virtually unchanged compared to the narrow case models, the new Mk 3 Desmo is unique and instantly recognisable by its twin-filler chrome paneled tank and chrome guards. Some Desmo's ...
Previously owned by Anton Els of Wagga Wagga, NSW, who purchased the bike in the late 1970’s. Anton enjoyed riding the bike as a teenager and into his early 20’s when, like so often occurs, a wife, a young family and home took priority. The bike was stored and not ridden for many years from the early 80’s until purchased ...
This is a very extremely rare bike; only 9 (nine) 350 Desmo’s were ever imported into Australia. This Ducati 350 Desmo was originally owned for many years by, Joe Biondillo, of East Fremantle, WA. Joe Biondillo was a Perth enthusiast who had a reasonable sized collection. It is believed Joe purchased the bike new ...

This bike was purchased new in 1974 by a Wagga Wagga local. The original buyer and his good friend, a German Wagga White Goods repairer by the name of Jim ?, each purchased new Desmo singles. Jim bought a 350 and his friend bought this 450. After a few years Jim sold the 350 and regretted it so much that he talked his ...
Built by a vintage Ducati Race Team in the late 1980’s/ early 1990’s. I purchased the bike from Anthony Whykes, of North Nowra, NSW, in April 2007. The bike was ridden regularly as a daily rider and provided many years of trouble free service. Build specification: Super Sport body work. Brembo twin disc ...

Ducatisti and Ducati historians will know of the very unique batch of 40 1974 specification 750GT’s built exclusively by the factory for Norm Fraser (Fraser Motorcycles) in 1978. This is one of those 40 and is a very rare, and patina perfect example. This bike has never been restored. John Dawe of Wagga Wagga, NSW, ...

The Darmah was born to respond to the commercial failure of the 860 GT of 1974, heir to the 750 GT of 1971, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and that did not receive the success expected due to its square aesthetics and reliability problems. I'm talking about a Ducati NCR Replica Tony Rutter. Made at the beginning of 1981, it is the third bike of about ten built, (in possession of the doc attesting authenticity) I think it is among the very few units built with a 'street kit'. The condition is excellent, and the build quality is superb. No time wasters only ...
