Essential reading for anyone restoring an older car, or who wants to learn about older car technology.
The books have been used, but looked after. They are not mint, but are good reading copies.
Volume 1 - 466 pages
Maintenance schedules, tools, measuring devices, engine dismantling and repair, oil and cooling systems.
There are around 1000 drawings and photos just in this volume.
There's light foxing to the first and last couple of blank pages, and 2 or 3 pages have dirty fingerprints.
Volume 2 - 490 pages
Fuel system, engine servicing, garage layout and equipment, lubricating of motor vehicles, clutch and gearbox.
Hundreds of illustrations including a fold out lubrication chart.

Hundreds of data sheets and wiring diagrams (including fold out diagrams) for most British cars produced between 1945 - 1954, along with some foreign and British commercial vehicles. All the well known makes- Austin, Morris, Vauxhall, Porsche and less well known Vulcan, Thorneycroft, Pagefield.
There's light foxing especially inside the folded diagrams, but nothing serious. There's also some dirty fingerprints.
