This is an exceptional value, fantastic entry level way into the Jaguar XK DHC market. This is a genuine UK RHD supplied Jaguar XK150 3. 4 with manual overdrive gearbox and chrome wire wheels that was subject of a professional conversion from FHC to DHC specification in 1986. From 1989 to 1994 the XK was then completely rebuilt with a program of work that included a total body restoration and re-paint, complete engine rebuild to include a rebore and then new pistons and rings. The XK also had a new clutch, re-conditioned gearbox and new exhaust system amongst various other parts. The Jaguar was also re-wired, had new lighting throughout, a re-trimmed interior, new hood, wheels and tyres.
Between 1994 and 1999 the XK150 covered 3000 miles and was used at many Jaguar Drivers Club events and featured on the Norwich Union run, always performing well on the various events it was involved in. Between 2007 and 2022 the XK150 has covered a further 3000 miles and since the cars early 1990's restoration and engine rebuild; it has covered less than 10, 000 miles. During the details below UMC had a further program of work carried out, the majority of this was with a classic car specialist near Salisbury, Wiltshire. The car was subject of bodywork and a full re-paint, new rubbers and seals, a stunning re-trim and various mechanical work that included stripping the engine and replacing the main and big end bearings, new ball joints, various new suspension bushes and rebuilding the brakes. Invoices for this program of refurbishment work, and a detailed photo record are present in the history file.

835 UMC presents very well with a lovely, clean straight body with impressive paintwork. The chrome work is generally of a very good standard and the Biscuit leather upholstery is superb. The XK has an excellent clean chassis, and the engine bay and boot compartment are of a good standard. On the road this XK150 drives superbly, the 3. 4 six cylinder unit is impressive holding excellent oil pressure and offers lots of power and performance. The Moss four speed with overdrive gearbox changes up and down lovely with a smooth overdrive and the car holds the road very well. This is a very well sorted and prepared XK150 that feels tight, has excellent road manners, and does not disappoint.

This sensibly priced example looks exceptional value and whilst it will not suit the purist, its ideal for open top 1950's Jaguar motoring, long distance touring, events, rallies and for really enjoying on the road. Since the program of work in 2015-2016 the XK has only covered 3000 miles giving lots of confidence that this car requires no major work, and is ready to drive, and enjoy.
