We are delighted to offer this exceptionally presented Jaguar 420G onto the market. The MKX and 420G was Jaguar’s top of the range Saloon car from 1961 to 1970 and offered comfort, luxury, and performance. The flagship Jaguar had a top speed of over 120mph and impressed with its technical specification and innovations. This is the first MKX/ 420G we have had for a number of years, and top quality examples like this are becoming harder to find.
This pristine example was subject to a full bare shell restoration during the early 1990's. The large and imposing Jaguar was painted in the beautiful colour of Solent Blue and then spent from 1994 to 1999 with a Jaguar enthusiast in Fife. After five years, the 420G was sold to a Fife Historic Car Club member who was well known to us, and a valuation in the vehicle's history file confirms that in 1999 the car had been completely restored and had excellent panel fit throughout, brand new West of England leather interior, new Burr Walnut instrument panel, door capping's and picnic tables. The car was described in A1 condition throughout.

Having been enjoyed on the show scene in Scotland, the 420G sold to the owner of the Sterling Collection in Alloa where it spent a number of years prior to being supplied to a long term owner in County Kildare, Ireland in 2006. The Jaguar then stayed with one owner for 15 years forming part of a private collection. For nostalgia purposes, the owner who enjoyed the car from 1994 to 1999 bought the car from its long term owner in Ireland and over many months has had the car put through a program of light refurbishment taking back to the standards evident when he owned it after the early 1990's bare shell restoration.

The Jaguar now records a mileage of 84, 000 and previous MOT certificates confirm the 420G has covered 20, 000 miles since 1996. Since returning to the UK it has been subject of a superb full re-paint, professionally re-veneered door cards and beautifully detailed throughout. The Jaguar is showroom ready and presents superbly with an exceptional straight bodyshell and excellent Solent Blue paintwork throughout, slightly enhanced with larger 15 inch wheels. The chrome work is impressive, and the interior beautifully presented with stunning leather and walnut. The high-performance Jaguar Saloon is a true icon, and with the wonderful 4. 2 six cylinder engine and smooth automatic gearbox, the car is a delightful long distance cruiser that offers speed, comfort and luxury.
