History and paperwork with the car confirm the mileage was recorded at 82, 019 in 1986 and a further 14, 000 miles were covered over the next ten years. In 1996 OJF 789F was placed in a central heated garage where it spent 18 years off the road. Having been dry stored for so many years, the car was treated to a brake overhaul and some light re-commissioning and MOT tested in November 2014 at 96, 304 miles. 200 miles were covered over the next year, the Jensen MOT tested again in early 2016 with 96593 miles. Since then, the MKI Interceptor has been owned by a Harrogate based collector who has dry stored the car.
OJF 789F is a very smart, well presented car with attractive, high quality paintwork having been treated to a recent strip down and complete re-spray in its original colour. With all brightwork and windscreens removed, the MKI Jensen treated to extensive paintwork preparation prior to a top class finish. The chrome work is generally very good and largely original throughout, and the Jensen retains a beautifully aged original trim with superb Black leather seats, good quality door cards and walnut dash.
The V8 engine is strong and in very good order holding good oil pressure and offering impressive performance. The gearbox offers lovely smooth changes, and the Jensen has recently had a re-conditioned radiator fitted. OJF 789F is a beautiful looking, impressive car, and finding honest, largely original early examples can prove very difficult. This is a car that should be enjoyed on the open road, it would be fabulous for long distance touring so we hope its next owner begins to cover some serious miles after just 400 miles in the past 25 years.
A very rare incarnation of the Jensen Interceptor. The Jensen SP (for "Six Pack") has the distinction of being the most powerful car ever to have been made by Jensen Motors. Indeed, at the time of its release in August 1971, the SP was one of the most powerful road cars anywhere in the world. Its specification seemed to ...

Rare among the Interceptor variants and Jensen's swansong for the 70's at least. The Coupés are a largely unknown type and many people who might know a bit about Jensens have never actually seen one. Like many British sporting car manufacturers, the Jensen story is an interesting one. Brothers Alan and Richard Jensen were ‘car guys’ and in the 1920’s and 1930’s they were heavily involved in coachbuilding , both as a hobby and profession. In 1931 the Jensen brothers went to work for coachbuilder WJ Smith & Sons ...
