This car was the first A the details below S imported, in 1971, in Italy; Italian first owner: Renault Italy. The Italian subsidiary of Renault announces import with a statement of 9 February 1971. Used by Renault for the road test and the dynamic test by the monthly magazine "Quattroruote"; who published in the issue of March 1971 an article which enhances the performance and sportsmanship at the expense of comfort and sound insulation of the passenger compartment. The famous navigator rally Cica Lurani put together the car for the magazine "Il Pilota"; also it was also the basis for the first model of these cars built in Italy.
The car was later sold to be designed for racing.
In the early 80s, it is no longer competitive in the speed events, was transformed into a car slalom which saw among its pilots Giovanni Bormida and Emilio Rizzi.

Car designed for the F3 championships of 1993 and adapted with F7R Renault engine for the Federal School Italian Pilots; keeping it not throttled to ensure the same power and longer life.

Built for endurance race with larger breaks in front, stronger gear box from a Clio II Sport (short shift) and extra fuel cell (total of an estimated 100 litres).
Gearbox was rebuild 4 races ago with a new Quaife differential.
