History:
In 1989 Lamborghini Automobili SA ordered Carrozzeria Bartoletti to construct a 2-race car enclosed transporter with team accommodation capacity to support the needs its Formula 1 branch, Lamborghini Engineering S. p. A. . In turn Bartoletti selected its Jumbo 2-axle semitrailer arrangement which customized with living quarters in the front, parts section in the middle and race car loading and storage section in the rear. The living quarters included a living room with Lamborghini insignia seating, folding table, Webasto and A/ C climate control, dressing and other cabinets, raising curtains, fully equipped kitchenette and rest room with shower. Furthermore the roof was made semitransparent in the rear to allow natural light illumination of the car storage section. The roof's anterior aspect was used for satellite communication infrastructure and additional seating for superior track view while a 6x12m tent extends out for necessary shading. The transporter’s lateral inferior compartments were converted to additional storage, energy and water supply facilities. According to Bartoletti’s records’ keeper, the transporter was then sent to Lamborghini factory to be finalized alongside its Iveco truck.
In 1989 the transporter was registered in Modena as MO* 024391 under Lamborghini Engineering S. p. A. and was used to serve the needs of Lamborghini's Formula 1 program. Five years later, the transporter was used to support its Class 1 World Offshore Powerboat racing team in Dubai where Lamborghini won the world championship for the first time in history with Norberto Ferretti of Forli (the boatbuilder himself) as the driver and Luca Ferrari as his copilot. The transporter was never to be seen again and in 2001 it was sold to a Lamborghini collector in Athens, Greece who in turn imported and stored it. In 2006 it was displayed as part of a private exhibition of Lamborghini and other Italian exotics.
