FORD Model Y Shortrad Fordor ~ Fully Restored ~ SOLD (1933)
|This very rare 1933 Ford Model Y Shortrad Fordor has undergone a total restoration.|
The restoration was started in 2008 after the car had been laid up in storage for 50 years and completed in 2010 after 1817 hours of work.
This work was recorded on over 450 photographs on three CD discs that are included in the comprehensive history files.
The files also includes the current V5, the current MOT, old tax discs, previous MOT certificates, some original service invoices from the 1950s, a detailed diary of the restoration work as it was carried out and a running total of the costs involved along with dozens of invoices for the parts purchased.
The car still retains its original registration number JV1972 and has had removable front and rear indicators fitted to the bumpers to make the car safer for use on todays roads.
Although the car is now MOT exempt as it was manufactured prior to 1960, it has an MOT which runs until August 2017.
Rules that commenced in October 2014 mean that the car will need to be licensed for twelve months from the date of sale for the new owner but this will be free as the car qualifies for the Historic Taxation class.
Prospective buyers are welcome to view the car in our Leeds showroom.
