In 1967 the MK2 MGB roadster was launched with various improvements including all-syncro gearbox, an alternator, reclining seats from 1970 and an altered floor pan. Some refer post 1970 cars as MK3 models but in truth the MK2 cars were constantly evolving with minor trim changes until the rubber bumper cars appeared in 1974.
This car is a 1973 MGB Roadster in Midnight Blue with a black interior and overdrive gearbox. In 1997/1998 it was comprehensively restored, it has been in the same ownership since 1999 and has had just five previous owners. We have just carried out various cosmetic jobs but this was a superb car to start with. The paint finish is virtually flawless and the body and underside are in outstanding rust free condition. It drives perfectly - as well as or better than any MGB roadster that I have offered for sale.
This MGB comes with spare keys, a full tonneau and a substantial history file with new and old log books, photos from the restoration, all invoices, and MOT’s back to the 80’s. In the last ownership it has been serviced every year regardless of mileage and many new parts have been fitted including an unleaded cylinder head. It is fitted with a brake servo and a modern style CD radio and five matching radials.
Ready to use. Please call if more detail is required.
