We are very pleased to bring to market for the first time in 53 years this stunning 1 owner Triumph Herald 12/50. The car was supplied new by Harvey Hudson of Woodford to Mr E Cashe of Loughton on the 25/05/1964, for the princely sum of £670 3 shilling and 11 pence.
This has got to be one of Giovanni Michelotti most iconic designs. This Herald is finished with a Duo paint finish of Cactus over Conifer, which is the same colour scheme as used by Triumph in their promotional literature. The 12/50 was a higher specification model than the standard Herald and benefited from a Sunroof, White rubber bumpers and heater.
This car still retains its original bill of sale, service book and handbook. We have a file of service invoices back to 1970 and mots back to 1972. The car had a major mechanical overhaul in 1991 which included the fitting of a new engine, and then in 1994 the car was the subject of a full photographic body restoration.
Unlike so many Heralds for sale today this Herald still retains all its original features which include its steering wheel, road wheels and sunroof. As can be seen from the photos this Triumph still presents very well and is a real testament to the restoration that was carried out in the 1990's, its looks certainly belie its' 53 years.
All this Herald now needs is a new owner to cherish it for the next 53 years.
