1973 A real GT car SOLD

The car was purchased by me 25/ 9/ 2007(according to the log book there were 8 previous owners and it seems that I am the second longest owner) after which I had the car stripped completely. The engine was rebored and completely remade by using race quality parts from 440 sources, USA. The engine block is the only original the rest is all new. The gearbox was scrapped and a new one purchased from the USA. An overdrive unit was purchased for Gear Vendors and fitted. The car body was striped to bear metal and repaired where necessary, which was not much. The car has gone a full nut and bolt restoration

The car body was cleaned down to the bear metal and wherever there was any repair work to done was done. Thankfully there was only two places and the then that prepped and painted.
The engine was sent to JOHN SLEATH RACING of Doncaster who stripped and rebored and rebuilt it from scratch, all the internals that were used where of race quality to handle the increase of power and torque.
The gearbox was deemed to be uneconomically unviable so a new unit was ordered and fitted. The Torque Converter was replaced from SUMMIT RACING, USA that would be able to handle the power/ torque increase.
The Cylinder Heads were replaced with Aluminium ones and again from 440 Source. (Valves, Springs, Tappets, etc where all race quality)
The Camshaft was chosen for long GT driving and not for tyre burning.
The Inlet Manifold was chosen as part of the total upgrade of the ignition system, EFI instead of the standard Carburettor. The inlet Manifold is capable of handling the fuel demands of the engine.
The EFI system was chosen from MSD, that would be able to work straight from the box
The old hose pipes were replaced with, AQP Racing Hose, Stainless Steel Braided(SSB) throughout the car.
The fittings for all the SSB were all as was the hose was supplied by JLS Motorsports or THINK AUTOMOTIVE. All the fittings for the hose were Aerospace/ Aeroquip style.
Extra OIL Coolers were added to the keep the Engine, Gearbox, Steering cool. These were supplied from THINK AUTOMOTIVE
The Radiator was upgraded and a two-fan system with electronic fan controller was fitted.
The Steering Rack was replaced with brand new one.
The brakes have been custom made by BG Developments, callipers from AP Racing
The Braking system was upgraded and improved. The front Disc was custom made to fit the Jensen and 6 Pot Caliphas from AP RACING was fitted. The rears where kept standard after it was deemed by BG DEVELOPMENTS of Bromsgrove, makers of the front Disc, that engineering work would be too high.
Suspension upgraded to AVO Suspension with adjustable rears.
The wheels have been custom made, three-piece, 8" front and 9" rears. The tyres are low profile Bridgestone. Front 235/ 18 and rears 265/ 18
The wheels were custom made to the original design IMAGE WHEELS INTERNATIONAL Ltd.
The wheels/ tyres are fitted with Tyre Pressure system
The front and rear bumpers have been remastered in fiberglass.
The front and rear Lights have been sourced from Hella Germany.
There is a front and rear distance warning kit fitted to both the bumpers.
The Front seats are Recaros which have been reupholstered in a two-tone leather. The seats themselves are electric and all the work was done by Classic Automotive Trim, Coventry.
The Seat belts were specially made to match the colour of the leather and the paint of the car.
Al the electrical wiring has been replaced by new wire. The original wire colour code has been kept. Because there were extras fitted, the standard wiring loom did not meet my design so the wiring is a one of kind loom.
The dash remade using Wood
The instruments are all custom designed for the Jensen from the USA By Speed Hut. The Speedometer is a GPS connected one.
The Switches are all electric push type and illuminated type from Car Builder Solutions
The Audio has been replaced with Alpine SATNAV/ CD/ DVD. The speaker covers where Water Jet Cut to a design that I supplied.

The only thing that has not been commissioned but is all fitted is the A/ c

There are over 700 pictures of the rebuild of the car and the car has all the receipts to warrant the backing to the above work and much more.

The asking price is a realistic one considering the amount spent and work and time.
Due to people who promised but did not deliver on the gentleman's agreement. I shall be asking for the first time, a deposit to be paid once the sale is agreed.
