We found this Big Cat in Orland park, Illinois. This is really a so called “BARN FIND” unmolested and original (dusty) car.
The owner we bought the car from told us the car was garaged for decades and was not moved for the last 15 years. It was his father’s car for years and he remembered sitting in it as a child. His father prepped the car for a paint job but became unfortunaltely sick and was not able to restore it.
On the photo’s you can see tape on the chrome parts. We removed the tape from the headlamps and the chrome shines nice. The body is partly without paint and mostly in red primer. It gives some surface rust on the blank metal parts.
The interior looks rather good and complete with nice patina on leather and wood. All the parts seem to be there.
This is a real time warp that needs a lot of attention but it is a very good basis for a light restoration. Or what we advise: Let this time warp show it’s age and just make it technical OK. You can only restore one time.
