This is the legendry Modsports VUD 701 1963 Turner Mk2 Sports Car. The Ex John E Miles 1964 Autosport National Championship winning race car. Fully modified throughout the 1960's and 1970's to become one of the fastest Historic Modsports cars in the UK. Numerous lap records by many of its past owners who went on to develop the car year after year to win many National race car championships.
Full authentic race history, results and records, many featured write ups, magazine editorials and image albums.
Fully restored and stored in a heated workshop for many years after it's rebuild, used occasionally and attends many National show events such as the NEC, Race Retro and others.
This car runs an ultimate 1824cc Cosworth thick walled BDX block, full spec all steel, dry sumped n/a Cosworth developed screamer, that revs over 10k and produces in excess of 200 bhp,in a car weighing only 485k, acceleration is sensational and remains totally drivable at any angle on the limit, in the dry and wet. You race this electrifying car like a 250 National Go-Kart. Pick a line to overtake and it happens superbly. Present lap times are amazingly quick with Brands Hatch Indy in 46.38secs.
