We always like a sporty TR4. The Michelotti styling delivered Triumph from the relatively unsophisticated side screen early TR’s into a new era. At yet the new styling, elegant and utterly engaging was a new body built around essentially the same chassis and running gear as the early TR’s. As such this was evolution not revolution and the TR4 is wonderful for that
This particular car is a UK right hand drive vehicle retaining its original body, engine and registration number. This car was delivered new to Bristol and has lived its entire life in and around this area. Fully documented 4 owners over its 55years suggests this car has been cherished throughout its life. The first owner Dorothy Davies owned the car until 1983. Second owner Kevin Little took responsibility for 848VDH for a further 23 years before John Adams became the new owner in 2010.
F&B acquired 848VDH recently as a partially restored car requiring completion. That is where we are now. The car has a really nice chassis and bodywork. There has been many many thousands of £ spent on the body and mechanical upgrading of this car. We have removed the engine and cleared the entire engine bay to repaint the engine bay. When completed the engine bay will be detailed and in a condition commensurate with the rest of the car. Mechanically we are refreshing the original engine and overdrive gearbox. The seats are newly covered in stunning black leather and together with new black carpets the car will present in really super condition ready for a new owner to use, show or enjoy. We are going to complete the car to a ‘fast road’ specification uprating the engine and improving brakes and suspension to make the wonderful TR4 go as well as it looks.
The car will be ready by the end of June and represents a really rare opportunity to own one of these beautiful and exciting cars. Sold with 12mth 3000 mile engine and gearbox warranty fresh MOT and extensive history file
