BSA METISSE 350cc
Reg. no. GSU 729
Frame no. B40234
Engine no. B40204
The Metisse frame with a BSA motor has the potential of being a fun road bike. Metisse are known for their competition rolling chassis, with excellent finish. The BSA single cylinder motor was first developed as a 250cc C15. The potential of the compact motor was soon realised and it was developed into 350cc, 440cc, and 500cc versions. Then in 1964 and 1965 Jeff Smith won the World Scrambles Championship on a works 440cc motorbike. The bike in the auction will need completing but it has great potential for a road going special; it is offered here with a V5C, a Metisse brochure and sundry invoices totalling over £3,000.
This and over 90 other classic cars and motorcycles will be offered for auction on June 17th at Allington, near Chippenham, Wiltshire SN14 6LJ
