1970 Banjo GT Coupe- 1 of 11 WORLDWIDE For Sale
BANJO GT Coupe- Very exclusive & rare car!
From the 11 originally built BANJO GTs number 4 is now available. These models were built only between 1968 and 1970 in Mineral City, Ohio/USA and they were available as Coupe and Cabriolet. From the existing information sources it is not clear how exactly they were divided. How many still exist worldwide has not been 100% clarified. There are two theories available on internet. One assumes 3 pieces left, some 4 remaining exemplars.
The basis for BANJO GT was a Chevrolet frame (1955-1957). Engines from 4-cylinder to V8 have been used. In this model a Small block with 289 CUI from a 1966 Ford Mustang was built in. The car body is from fiberglas.
Number 4 was "waked up" in 2005. In the two years that followed it was fully restored. In 2009 after it was shipped to Germany a few beauty repairs were done. In 2013 paintwork lacquer coat was renewed and center console was modified. Moreover, the car passed through the strictest German Technical Inspection Authority (TUV) with the mark “H”. The German mark “H” represents the guarantee of originality, as well as of safety and quality.
As additional information, it should be noted that a person with a body height over 1,80m will experience limitations in the area above one’s head.
