Arrival at the store of a Brough Superior SS100 « Racing Full Black ».
One thinks of the British excellence, to those motorcycles whose legend claims that they were assembled in white gloves as Rolls-Royce.
I also think a little, egocentric, that I did not imagine one day start a Brough Superior new version, let alone settle and leave at its handlebars.
This motorcycle is like an ancestor asleep for 75 years, who suddenly wakes up in his costume of elegance, and discovers paved roads, automatic radars and fluorescent vests.
And in a codified and shriveled world, this madness, as impalpable as a handsome vintage-chic buttonhole, English phlegm, dresses in a black and chrome gown, and signs on the tank its name in gold letter : Brough Superior.
It’s not a legend, much less a tribute or a cold case exhumed by a fashionable wizard.
This madness is a real SS100.
Both extravagance and production motorcycle.
Made to dream, to fly, and for the less « Peter Pan » of us, to ride.
It’s beautiful in the idea of the modernity and the technology it offers.
This Brough Superior modern version has lost none of its superb and crazy style, as stated by Eric Malherbe, an upright and experienced tester at Moto Journal.
