This 1960 Triumph TR3A has been stored in an Ohio barn for decades, together with another TR3 and a collection of motorbikes. The motorcycles were stored on the floor above the cars, causing battery acid to leak on the body. This car has been affected the most; the top body panels have rusted through in several areas and will need to be replaced.
The body tub is in relatively good (restorable) condition, but will need to be repaired in the common weak areas: floor boards, boot and spare wheel floor, rear valance and inner and outer sills. The chassis is mostly solid, with visible rust through on the lower part of the 2 rear X-section beams (see pictures). Original body colour probably old english white, with a black interior.
Body, commission (chassis), engine and gearbox numbers look to be matching. The engine is seized. Standard 4 speed gearbox, no overdrive. The car looks to be mostly complete; please check the pictures for all items that are included with the sale.
It comes with a US title (Ohio) and EU import documents (duties paid). Transportation to most European countries can be organised at competitive rates.
