When launched, the Mercedes S65 AMG was the world's most powerful production saloon. It's handbuilt, twin turbo charged, 6 litre V12 with 603BHP on call, propelled the 2 ton saloon like a missile to 60mph in just 4.4 seconds on it's way to an electronically limited 155mph.
Handling is surprisingly good aided by Mercedes' second generation Active Body Control system making the car feel as agile as a much smaller sports saloon. Braking is kept under control by huge disc brakes with twin calipers at the front.
Inside the car is as luxurious as you would expect from a car with a new price approaching £150,000. Sumptuous leather, wood, gadgets and even an IWC analogue clock make you feel welcome.
Our car, a 2010 S65 AMG L (Limousine) is finished in the great combination of Andorite Grey metallic with Black/Anthracite Exclusive leather. Like most, the car was a Mercedes company vehicle and has had just 2 owners since. The Mercedes Service print out confirms 5 services with the last one at 60,479 miles in 2016. The current mileage is just 72,578.
The Mercedes Datacard confirms the high specification of the car includes but is not limited to:
AMG 'Carbon Look Edition' Special Model
Front and rear Climate Control
Dynamic front Seats
Multi Contour rear seat
Rear View Camera with Parking Guidance
