Ex- Opel Works Car. ( Delta Motor Corp of S Africa ) One of four cars built by the factory for the South African Production Car Championship ( Stannic Group “N” )
This car won the overall 1991 Championship driven by Mike Briggs ( multiple SA championship winner ) beating the works BMW 325is in the process . Mike later raced in Japan and also the 1995 BTCC as a Vauxhall works driver .
Original engine , gearbox and LS diff. Original chrome moly roll cage. Original seat available. The car was discovered in Zimbabwe in 2014 having been stored for many years. Its last race was the Bulawayo 3 hours in 1994. Now fully restored in original colours, decals and to original specs. Engine has done 50km since rebuild. Raced at Zwartkops international classic car meeting in Jan 2017. Ready to race £110000 ONO. Authenticity of car confirmed by Mike Briggs and Peter Laird ( Opel motorsport team manager during the period 1989 -92) .
