The RM model Austin Seven Saloon was the last of the short wheel base Austin Sevens produced at Longbridge, incorporating three speed "crash" gearbox, scuttle mounted petrol tank and updraught carburettor.The original registration mark[2 letters 4 numbers] is retained with the car.
The car has been recently resprayed to a good standard, but not "concourse". The interior has been re-trimmed in "Moquete cloth" to original pattern, new head lining in fawn. Rear and side window seals replaced, new window channels to doors, new seals to windscreen.Exterior fabric roof covering renewed.
Correct front and rear wings, the rear seat under panel has been replaced by a previous owner. Radiator shell and all door fittings re-chromed. Original external door handles,locks modified to proved locking.
Correct R49 headlamps, original rear lamps. Re-wired in armour cable, flashing indicators fitted. Starter and dynamo rebuilt, new battery.Correct 19 inch "scripted" wheel, tyres 50% worn.
Engine rebuilt, "lead free" exhaust vale seats fitted, new piston rings, all crank bearings in good condition. Rebuilt clutch, no work need on transmission. Zenith 22 FZB carbuerttor, LucasDJ4 distributor.Suspension and steering all sound.Brakes stripped, re-lined all brake shoes, all cables correct and adjusted. Sound exhaust.

The car drives ans stops very well. Engine runs quietly, no smoke, no rumbles or whines from transmission.
