This 1976 Land Rover was the pride and joy of its last owner who sadly passed away a few years ago and it was then left in a lean to store.
Such an original unmolested Land Rover!
Comes with up to date V5 document.
Chassis no 90123629A
Tax exempt so cheap motoring!
The last tax disc is 1991 and the mileage recoreded is 64,000 which I believe could be true but have no proof.
Originally registered on 1st April 1976 as LAM 875P by T.H. White Land Rover it was sold by its 1st owner on 13th January 1984.
The 2nd owner (who died) is recorded as the owner until 18th June 2013 when it was put in his sisters name to keep the paperwork current.
So 3 recorded owners.
Now registered as OMY 489P.
Apparently when parked in the lean to store it was fully functioning apart from the alternator which was taken off for repair and never done.
The body panels are very straight for a Land Rover including the tailgate!
The chassis due to sitting for so long will need a fair bit of welding or it would be much easier to fit a galavanised chassis.
The bulkhead is remarkably good up top and only needs some footwell work to bring up to scratch.
Personally I would not paint it but just clean it up.
The 2.25 petrol engine is the original and has good compression on a starting handle so should fire up without much problem.
This will make a great project and should be straight forward as it is complete and in very original never messed with condition.
