Just a very quick run down of what I have been able to find out (MSA did not keep very good files over 10 years ago).
The car assembled at Collins Cars, Pontrilas who at that time were running the Toyota UK cars for Dai Llewellin. It was built as an historic stage rally car and to comply with FIA and MSA regulations of the period. The car was first registered in December 1965 and then fell into both sets of rules, as the FIA cut off date for the early cars was 31 December 1965 with the HRCR/ MSA being later - 31st December, 1967 ! Not something that most people would remember.
The first event after its build was at Pembrey and it had teething problems with the fuel system, but subsequently the car had several good results - including 6th. overall on the first historic forest rally for historics - the Pines Rally on Exmoor and Rally Britannia /Historic RAC Rally in November 1992 but to name a couple of races. It was a well known car and won high number of rally’s and high number of over all wins covering many years. Last seen as a zero car in 2004 (pic in add).

The engine is a PreXFlow with BIG VALVES Head, blue-print,twin 40's (18's of MK1 Louts), lightened and balanced with competition clutch, Quaife close ratio box, LSD. The list goes on.

Only two currently registered as on the road. This bronze coloured Mk 3 Ford cortina 1300 L 4 door saloon was running under a valid MOT up until 1986. It was then driven into a workshop where it has been dry stored since. It has a number of rust blisters and some corrosion to the rear passenger wing. .....
Here we have a very rare, very unique, and very collectable old Ford.
Mk3 Cortinas are few and far betwween nowadays.
The desirable 2 door is rare, but to find a genuine Superspeed V6 in concours condition is unheard of....this car is a must for any serious Ford collector..rarer than any other .....
Hi for sale is my 1965 ford cortina mk1.
All work was done freshly prepped in September 2015 for hill climb and sprints. And then passed it's MSA Competition car log book.
The car has not entered an event so is still fresh.
It has a 1600 crossflow on twin 40 Webber carbs.

Here for sale is my much loved racing cortina GT built by David Hall, in his hands it won its class in the CTCRC. Its not FIA and as I understand it its because it is a GT fitted with a limited slip diff and non standard brakes. the current brakes are willwood four pots with capri vented discs front .....
