1957 MGA 1500 SPORTS CONVERTIBLE
Finished in classic MG Olde English white with full red leather trim complemented by a black cloth hood. This car was sold new in April 1957 to an MG supplier in Cheshire. There have been 6 local Cheshire owners in its 65year lifetime. The penultimate keeper owned the car for 43 years during which time the car was in dry storage for many years. We can confirm that it has all numbers matching, it is the original colour scheme and also has the original registration number and number plates - 517 AMA.
The history folder includes: current and previous V5’s including original buff log book, previous MoT’s and related paperwork, DVLA paperwork, old road tax discs, insurance documentation, correspondence, MG Owner’s Club and RAC paperwork, HPi report, gov vehicle MoT history and invoices totalling circa £13,000 for maintenance and upkeep over the years.
According to previous MoT’s certificates and paperwork, it seems that the car has travelled only around 33,000 miles from new (believed to be correct). Although this is not a concours example with a £38k price tag, it is a very usable car in good condition but with some paint imperfections (no rust). It is sold with the valuable registration number and is on the button and drives very well. This beautiful looking car is road tax and Mot exempt and can be driven on classic car insurance, making it a very economical proposition. £21995
