Please see our website for many more pictures! This is a quite an unusual car, in the 1930's Daimler, Lanchester and BSA were all part of the same company, and they wanted to produce a smaller, lighter car, so they used the Lanchester chassis and BSA engine with a smaller saloon body, to achieve this.
The result was a good quality smaller car (if you look up Daimler and Lanchester cars of the 1930's, you will see why this is a "small" car!).

This is example is in pretty good order, it is quite original and runs and drives very well for an 83 year old!
The interior is a nice place to be, the original seats showing gentle use, the wood trims have been refinished and look smart, the instruments were sent off for rebuilding by a previous owner, so work well. The carpets have been renewed recently.
There is a large file of paperwork detailing extensive mechanical work carried out in the last 10 years, including a full engine rebuild in 2013, radiator recore, back axle rebuild, kingpins being rebushed, a new battery, etc, etc. The tyres have plenty of tread and look reasonably recent.
The car is smart overall, although the paintwork was done quite a few years ago and is showing its age here and there.
The pre select gearbox is quite straightforward to use, it is just slightly different to a manual box with a clutch, we a quite happy to explain it, but there are also numerous manuals, handbooks etc with the car if you're not sure!
If you need more pictures or have questions, please email, or call Mike for a chat about the car on the details below.
The car will be sold with a full service and mot (even though it is mot and tax exempt).
