We are very pleased to offer this beautiful factory RHD Porsche 356 C Coupe

The earliest RHD 356C available and likely to be one of the very first RHD cars to be made.

Finished in Signal Red with black interior and powered by the strong running 1,582 CC engine, this fabulous 356 C is a treat for both the eyes and senses.

This car has been unbelievably maintained over the years and the overall condition and originality of the car indicate the mileage displayed is very likely accurate.

This is one of the most solid, well-preserved, highest quality Porsche 356 Coupes we have ever had the pleasure of offering.

Every function of this car, from the like-new operation of the doors to the sweet sounding 1,582 CC engine, is confidence inspiring.

The Porsche 'C' version was the last of the glorious 356 series. In the eye's of many collectors and enthusiasts, it was the best of the line. It was the most advanced, developed and sophisticated in the series.

The problems and shortcomings of the early 356 models had all been worked out by the time production began on the 356C. The 1582cc overhead valve opposed four-cylinder engine was capable of producing 75 horsepower. The four-wheel disc brakes were more than adequate to stop the small 82.7 inch wheelbase vehicle while the four-wheel independent suspension was very mature and its handling characteristics were nearly flawless.

With an engine rebuild by the previous owner only a few years ago this car is on the button ready to enjoy, the previous owner did a 2000 mile tour of italy late 2015 which it performed perfectly and returned 40mpg

Our 356C is one of the first 500 cars with a completion date of October 1963 and being an early 63 chassis number 126449 one would assume it has left over components from the factory of T6 or T5 car and it clearly sat in the dealership until registration in 64 which would explain the lack of filler cap and 63 style earlier fuel tank, T6 / C bonnet and scuttle grill etc

A very rare specification 356C with the desirable later disc brakes but with the desirable earlier fuel tank etc.
We bought this car a few years ago and set about bringing it up to our high standards of preparation she presents flawlessly

Included within this we have
Complete interior retrim to include the factory headrests
Glass out respray in the original colour
Complete service, brakes strip and clean
Complete sound insulation to the floor pans

We felt these items were required as the car was appearing a little tired, faded red paint is the normal fault on early Porsches, it was not rotten and has been completely photographed throughout the stages of the work.

3 owners since 1981 and never fully restored, it is doubtful there are many 356C's out there more original than this one.

Overall this 356C is immaculately presented in one of the most desirable colour schemes, ready on the button for your summer jaunts
Complete with Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirming the car was supplied as above and with the crested hub caps
Not to be missed and a water tight investment with prices constantly on the rise
Must be viewed to be appreciated
